We will represent the given temperature data using a double-bar graph.

Step 1 — Prepare the data

First, let us list the temperatures for both days. We have temperatures at eight different times.

Step 2 — Choose the scale and draw axes

We need to draw a double-bar graph. The horizontal axis will show the time of day. The vertical axis will show the temperature in degrees Celsius. The problem states to use the scale 1 unit=4C1 \text{ unit} = 4^\circ\text{C}.

The lowest temperature is 16C16^\circ\text{C}. The highest temperature is 43C43^\circ\text{C}. So, the vertical axis must go up to at least 44C44^\circ\text{C}.

The number of units for 44C44^\circ\text{C} is:

44C4C per unit\frac{44^\circ\text{C}}{4^\circ\text{C per unit}}

=11 units= \mathbf{11 \text{ units}}

So, the vertical axis should be marked from 0C0^\circ\text{C} to 44C44^\circ\text{C}. We will mark it at intervals of 4C4^\circ\text{C}.

Step 3 — Plot the bars

For each time of day, we will draw two bars side-by-side. One bar will show the temperature for Day 1. The other bar will show the temperature for Day 2. We will use different colors for Day 1 and Day 2 bars. We will also add a legend to explain the colors.

Step 4 — Guess the months

We need to look at the temperature patterns. Day 2 shows very high temperatures. The lowest is 30C30^\circ\text{C} at 6 am. The highest is 43C43^\circ\text{C} at 3 pm. These are typical temperatures for a very hot summer month. In Jodhpur, May is known for such extreme heat.

Day 1 shows much lower temperatures. The lowest is 16C16^\circ\text{C} at 6 am. This is quite cool for an early morning. The highest is 34C34^\circ\text{C} at 3 pm. This is warm, but much cooler than Day 2's peak. This pattern of cool mornings and warm afternoons is typical for a winter month. In Jodhpur, December often has cool mornings and pleasant to warm afternoons.

(i) The double-bar graph is drawn as described in Step 2 and Step 3. (ii) These days might belong to December and May.
