Write the names of a few trees you see around you. When you observe a tree on the way from your home to school (or while walking from one place to another place), record the data and fill in the following table:
a. Which tree was found in the greatest number?
b. Which tree was found in the smallest number?
c. Were there any two trees found in the same numbers?

We will observe trees around us and fill in the given table. Then we will answer questions based on our observations.
Step 1 — Observe and Record Trees
Let us walk from home to school. We will look for different types of trees. We will count how many of each type we see. Then we will fill in the table. Here is an example of how your table might look:

Step 2 — Find the Most Common Tree
We will look at the 'No. of Trees' column. We need to find the biggest number there. In our example, the numbers are 5, 3, 7, 2, 3. The biggest number is 7. The tree next to 7 is Mango.
Step 3 — Find the Least Common Tree
We will look at the 'No. of Trees' column again. We need to find the smallest number there. In our example, the numbers are 5, 3, 7, 2, 3. The smallest number is 2. The tree next to 2 is Banyan.
Step 4 — Check for Same Numbers
We will look for numbers that appear more than once. In our example, the numbers are 5, 3, 7, 2, 3. The number 3 appears two times. Neem has 3 trees. Gulmohar also has 3 trees.
